Design/Build Projects

From 1996 through 2002 the OU Architecture program had a tradition of Design/Build Projects, inspired by Goff Professor Sam Mockbee.

A lot of architecture programs across the country had Design/Build Projects inspired by Sambo.

All of the projects at OU had a social aspect that made them so much more than simple Design/Build. The projects were also constrained by real building codes and real code inspectors".

The students designed the project for a specific client one semester and built it the next semester.

These were great hands-on experiences that served the Norman community.
